The Center for Earth & Space Science Education is proud to host its final lecture for the Spring 2014 Public Astronomy Lecture Series on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 7PM.
Topic: "A Conversation out of School: The Debate over C. P. Snow's Two Cultures and the Molding of the Modern Mind" by T. J. McLemore, Tyler Junior College.
Speaker: T. J. McLemore is the director of the Honors Program and Professor of English at Tyler Junior College. After completing his bachelor's degree at Baylor University in 2006, he spent four years living on community farms, touring with an indie rock band, and working as a ghostwriter and freelance editor. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) at Boston University in the Fall of 2011, and is currently working to complete his first book of poems. His critical volume on the poetry of Louise Glück is forthcoming from the University of South Carolina Press.

The Public Astronomy Lecture Series (PALS) began in 2004 and continues today as part of the
science and education outreach of The Center for Earth & Space Science Education at Tyler
Junior College. Lectures and demonstrations are presented throughout the semester by
academic experts and scholars who speak about timely and interesting topics related to science,
education, and public outreach. The topics are entertaining and presented to the general public.
The public is invited. The cost is $5 per seat or free with a valid TJC id.
Being a person whos intrigued by nasa activities while also trying to understand the universe this is an event I would not mind attending I hope to see more similar events.
